    As an umbrella organisation, pro mente Austria represents 26 member organisations that care for people with mental or psychosocial problems throughout Austria with their 5,500 employees. Multi-professional teams of members cover all services that promote the psychosocial health of individuals and society: they offer psychosocial and socio-psychiatric care, housing and care services and work projects, as well as prevention & rehabilitation and education and training.

    We represent the common goals of our members both in Austria and abroad and offer a platform for the uncomplicated exchange of information. Externally, we are available as a contact person for all stakeholders in the field of mental and social health.

Pro Mente Plus

pro mente Plus is a non-profit organization and offers treatment, counseling, care and housing options for people with mental illnesses who have violated applicable law due to the illness

  • Pro Mente Plus

    Forensic outpatient clinics and services in the area of housing and employment serve to better cope with the transition from the execution of measures to a self-determined life. With the help of psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, psychological and social work methods, the aim is to ensure that those affected learn how to deal with their illness in order to gradually lead an independent life again. The primary goal is psychological stability and thus forensic relapse prevention.

    pro mente Plus operates in the provinces of Upper Austria, Salzburg, Tyrol and Vienna.

    Funding is based on a service agreement with the Federal Ministry of Justice (BMJ).

Netzwerk Berufliche Assistenz – NEBA

Under the umbrella brand NEBA, six vocational assistance services are currently combined, which are implemented by over 200 providers throughout Austria.

    The Vocational Assistance Network – NEBA for short – is financed by the Ministry of Social Affairs (SMS) and is a differentiated system for supporting people with disabilities and young people at risk of exclusion. A wide-ranging landscape of providers ensures that the individual needs of the target groups are addressed and is relevant to labour market policy. NEBA is also an important support structure for the further development of equality law.

    Numerous support services are bundled under the NEBA umbrella, which both people with disabilities and young people at risk of exclusion can use free of charge. There are competent partners in all federal states.

    The Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) is the largest social health insurance company in Austria. Currently, around 82 percent of the people living in our country are insured with the ÖGK – these are 7,6 Millions of insured persons. The ÖGK was created on 01.01.2020 through the merger of the nine former regional health insurance funds.

     

    These are the most important services for our insured persons:

    • Health services: medical and therapeutic care in the event of illness - both with established contractual partners with a health insurance contract and in hospitals or ÖGK health centres
    • Benefits in the event of incapacity for work as a result of illness (sick leave)
    • dental services
    • Medicines, remedies and remedies
    • Benefits related to the birth of a child: these include medical services and cash benefits as well as health promotion services
