The Sant Joan de Déu Health Park advances, year after year, being a benchmark in health and social care and the well-being of citizens. It is a a network of care, teaching and research services, integrated into three main areas: SJD Hospital de Sant Boi, SJD Intermediate Care and SJD Mental Health Network. With regard to Mental Health, a proactive community-based model is promoted, with areas of excellence such as the treatment of intellectual disabilities with mental disorders and mental health care in prisons, as well as an extensive rehabilitation system for adults. All this is carried out with multidisciplinary teams that include psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, social workers, monitors, educators, etc.

The hospital has been dedicated to comprehensive care for women, children and adolescents and has become one of the most important specialised paediatric centres in Europe. The care is based on the multidisciplinary work of the professionals. The hospital conducts research to find new and better treatments for paediatric diseases. As a university hospital, it contributes to the training of health professionals, together with the Universitat de Barcelona. It runs a number of mental health programmes. Among them are the Support for the Treatment of Abused Children Team (ESTIM), the Program for Boys and Girls Witnessing Violence (TEVI), and the educational and residential therapeutic unit for children and young people with mental health problems.
Non-profit foundation which accompanies people who are in a situation of vulnerability and social exclusion. It runs the Social Emergency Residential Centre and Refugee Reception Programme, implements programmes on supported decision-making and supported living, vocational and recreational support for people with psychosocial disabilities, and supports reintegration into society of people after prison.
It is a project promoted by the centres in the Orden Hospitalaria de San Juan de Dios. The initiative aims to build a new ecosystem of relations among all the stakeholders involved, with an inclusive 360-degree vision that involves healthcare, social work and education professionals alongside users, families, support groups and associations. An environment built on the values of hospitality, respect, solidarity and recognition of the importance of others, their feelings and experiences. The digital mental health platform aims to share the knowledge and experience of everyone involved to provide the public with digital services and resources that support, empower, inform, raise awareness and promote mental health.

The IMPROVE project, run by a consortium of research centres, universities and service providers, represents a leap forward in the field of adolescent mental health and wellbeing by creating an eHealth intervention platform. Teens, teachers, parents, experts and policymakers all work together to improve mental health and wellbeing, early detect and prevent mental health issues and fight stigma and social inequalities related to mental health. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme.

For more than 25 years, we have been promoting the community care model and defending our rights to move towards a more inclusive society that guarantees equal opportunities.
The Hort de la Vila Residential Inclusion Centre (CRI) offers a space where the people cared for see their basic needs covered and from where they can work on social and labour reintegration; and other aspects such as physical and mental health or the recovery of family ties. It is located in the Sarrià district of Barcelona. It was launched in 2013 to attend to homeless people with a non-chronic profile, who in many cases present health problems. The facility has individual seats for 90 people, men and women.
Henka is a Japanese term that means transformative positive change with no return.A change that the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona and the Z Zurich Foundation are promoting to promote emotional well-being from the rigour of scientific knowledge, with actions that reinforce resilience in adolescents and young people between 12 and 25 years of age, as well as in their environment: educational centres, their families and society.
