Dr Vladimir Nakov
Dr Vladimir Nakov is a psychiatrist, PhD in Social Medicine, Associate Professor and Head of the Mental Health Department at the Directorate “Mental Health and Addiction Prevention” at the National Center of Public Health and Analyses. He is a practicing psychiatrist with experience as a forensic expert.
He graduated in Medicine in 1997 in Pleven. Specialty in Psychiatry – 2002. PhD – 2015. Associate Professor – 2023. He has completed additional training at King’s College London, the Trimbos Institute, and the University of California – Berkeley.
National Dementia Expert for Bulgaria (since 2018). WHO Bulgaria consultant on Mental Health. National Consultant in Psychiatry to the Ministry of Health (2024).
Author of more than 55 scientific publications and several monographs, including “Suicides in Bulgaria: Historical Context and Current Challenges”.
Dr Svetlana Dimitrova, PhD
Clinical and criminal psychologist, psychotherapist and forensic expert with over 20 years of professional experience in mental health, crisis intervention and trauma work.
She has extensive experience in military psychology, forensic psychological assessment and work within public institutions.
Her expertise includes psychological assessment for NATO international missions, addiction work, crisis intervention and multidisciplinary coordination.
