Implementing partner in Poland
The SOK Foundation (Samodzielność od Kuchni) is a Polish non-profit organisation founded in 2018 that helps children and adolescents develop life skills, independence, and resilience. Originally offering cooking classes for young people in foster care, SOK shifted its focus after the outbreak of war in Ukraine to support refugee minors in Polish schools through language and psychosocial programmes. Its name symbolises both practical self-reliance and the vitality of “juice” (sok in Polish). Guided by a sense of urgency, empathy, and efficiency, the foundation treats each project as an immediate response to children’s needs while also empowering the adults who support them through dedicated training initiatives.
