Introduction

Transforming mental health support through collaboration

The Training Programme on the Multidisciplinary Approach to Mental Health is a structured capacity-building initiative aimed at professionals from health, education, social work, and the justice sector. This training is part of the EU-PROMENS initiative, which seeks to:

  • Promote a multidisciplinary approach to mental health support by equipping professionals from different sectors with the competencies needed to collaborate effectively.
  • Foster a shared understanding of mental health, enhance teamwork, and strengthen the capacity to provide integrated, person-centred care that addresses mental health challenges holistically.
  • Create a cohesive network of professionals across sectors who work together to deliver person-centred mental health prevention and care, thereby improving outcomes for individuals and communities.

Visit our programme home page for more information about EU-PROMENS.

The national multidisciplinary training programme is organised in partnership with TENENET is a civic association founded in 2011 in Senec, Slovakia.

It provides support to children, families, and individuals facing difficult life situations. Its services include psychotherapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, and early intervention. The organisation also assists women and children experiencing violence and supports reintegration after incarceration. TENENET works with people affected by poverty, unemployment, social isolation, or mental health challenges.

By linking the social, health, education, and justice sectors, it creates comprehensive care pathways. More than 120 professionals form the core of its dedicated team. With 19 branches across Slovakia, TENENET ensures accessible and local support. Its mission is to restore stability, dignity, and hope in people’s lives. Above all, TENENET empowers individuals and families to build a better future.
