Introduction
Transforming Mental Health Support Through Collaboration
The Multidisciplinary Mental Health Training Programme is a structured capacity-building initiative designed for professionals working in the health, education, social, and justice sectors.
This training is part of the EU-PROMENS initiative, contributing to a broader European effort to strengthen mental health systems through collaboration and professional skills development.
Visit the programme page to learn more about EU-PROMENS.
The national multidisciplinary training programme is organised in collaboration with Consorzio Operativo Salute Mentale (C.O.S.M.).
Founded in 1993 to support the deinstitutionalisation process of the Udine Psychiatric Hospital, inspired by the cultural and political movement initiated by Franco Basaglia, the consortium today brings together 18 social cooperatives. These cooperatives develop activities and services ranging from tertiary sector activities to the design and delivery of socio-educational and care services. Fourteen of them focus on work integration and represent some of the most significant experiences of social cooperation in the region, implementing projects and services that promote employment opportunities for people in disadvantaged situations.
COSM has more than twenty years of experience in the field of mental health and welfare, participating in the implementation of strategic pathways. This translates into strong and continuous collaboration with health and social services (S.E.R.T., D.S.M., municipal social services, territorial districts, S.I.L.) as well as other regional and provincial organisations. Its institutional presence is strengthened by numerous national and international partnerships, which form the backbone of its territorial operations across the region and throughout the EU.
